Lead of the day goes to Robbi Pickeral of the Raleigh News & Observer:
Apparently, Roy Williams' salty slip is much a-bleep about nothing.
Pickeral was writing about Roy Williams dropping the F-bomb the other night after a win over N.C. State.
Mike Krzyzewski voices support for Roy, and no surprise there; 75 percent of Coach K's sideline vocabulary consists of the word that slipped out of Williams' mouth.
Scott Fowler of The Charlotte Observer says Roy should pay up for uttering an obscenity on live radio.
Not a terrible idea, but I think that's a little much. He's admitted he goofed. Let's just move on.
Matt Hayes of The Sporting News devises a grading system in college football to determine who does the most with the least -- and the least with the most. He deems Cincy the biggest overachiever and Mississippi the biggest underachiever. Clemson, by the way, is ranked 39th.
Closer to home, The State briefs us on Clemson's 2009 game against TCU that's expected to be announced today, plus a good primer on the Tigers' baseball season.
More baseball stuff in the Independent-Mail and Greenville News.
Also in the Greenville News, Bart Wright forces Kevin Steele to relive a dark moment. And Ed McGranahan talks to Cullen Harper about the upcoming NFL Combine.
