Halftime thoughts

It's Senior Night, and K.C. Rivers has been blanked.
Indeed, a frustrating half of basketball for the Tigers. They overcame a four-point deficit with a 13-0 run that put them up 22-13 with 9:07 left. You could sense them about to land the knockout blow after Dave Leitao got whistled for a technical.
Clemson then came up empty on its next six possessions, turning the ball over on four of those trips.
The Tigers have committed 10 first-half turnovers, which is more of the same after their sloppy first-half efforts against the Hokies and Seminoles.
The reserves are outscoring the starters 21-11. There's a bit of a catch there, because Jesse Yanutola (a senior) started in place of Terrence Oglesby (7 points).
But still ... The goose egg for Rivers, and the same for Demontez Stitt. Six points for David Potter, five for Andre Young, and three for Jerai Grant.
Tigers don't have an answer for Calvin Baker, who has 12 points. And reserve Mike Scott, who abused the Tigers in the teams' meeting earlier this season, has nine points and six rebounds. Something in Clemson seems to bring out the best in this kid.
Virginia is trapping the ball screens, particularly when Raymond Sykes and Grant are doing the screening, and the Tigers are having a hard time adjusting to that.
Booker has two shots and has made both. I think this is about the 20th time I've mentioned this at halftime this season, but ... more touches for No. 35!
Ten assists on 11 baskets for the Tigers. Five of those dishes came from Stitt.
Virginia has nine turnovers, so Clemson's pressure has been somewhat effective. But the Cavs have also scored some easy baskets in transition.
Ten second-chance points off seven offensive rebounds for the Cavs. That's got to stop.
Touching pregame ceremony honoring Rivers, Sykes and Yanutola. OP was really emotional.

Clemson's up just 32-31 on Virginia, and this wasn't exactly the statement the Tigers planned on making after back-to-back losses to Virginia Tech and Florida State.
