The circus comes to Tallahassee

Led Monday's blog with the Bobby Bowden situation and am doing it again today.
This stuff is just too good to ignore.
So the chairman of FSU's board of trustees chose not to stop at his comments calling for Bobby Bowden to resign.
Turns out he likens Papa to an old dog who can't learn new tricks. Might as well put him to sleep, huh?
Wow.
Sounds like a high-level meeting took place last night in Tallahassee. Sounds like Jimbo Fisher wants more control (read: permission to clean house on the defensive side of the ball).
We're guessing that means Chuckie won't be on the FSU sidelines much longer.

At ESPN.com, one of the most transparent stories you'll ever see.
Let's do the math...
ESPN's Shaun King is citing an unidentified source in a story involving Bobby Bowden's future.
King played football for Tommy Bowden at Tulane.
Tommy is Bobby's son.
Hmmmmm....

Tom O'Brien is drilling Russell Wilson on being a pocket passer.
Nothing says abject mediocrity like Maryland atop the ACC's Atlantic Division.
Some dispatches here, here and here from Oliver Purnell's media golf outing yesterday.
The football team managed to generate some smiles yesterday at an Anderson nursing home.
A common response to Clemson's offensive struggles this year has been: "Somewhere Rob Spence is smiling."
I don't think he's smiling much these days, particularly after a seven-turnover disaster at home against South Florida.
In South Bend, a connoisseur of fine whine wonders why Notre Dame doesn't get more respect.
