Busy day.
Blog. Then Pro Day. Then story about Pro Day. Then I-85 to Greensboro. Then ... lots of coffee while watching Clemson and N.C. State at 9 p.m.
Sorry ... the game is scheduled for 9 p.m., after Georgia Tech/North Carolina at 7.
Guess this is the ACC's version of a sense of humor.
Good luck winning four games in four days at the ACC Tournament, because no one has ever done it.
N.C. State came the closest, getting to the title game in 1997 and 2007.
I'm not an ACC historian, so the following statement probably doesn't mean much. But in my long and storied eight years of covering this tournament, this is the best opportunity for one of the lower-seeded teams to do it.
Clemson, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech are plenty capable. The Deacs and Jackets have the talent, and the Tigers have a point guard (Demontez Stitt) who's really gaining confidence.
And there's no one really dominant at the top. Duke and Maryland are good but beatable.
Tigers spent yesterday in Greensboro working on their pressure.
You just wonder how susceptible the Wolfpack will be to it. They only committed 11 turnovers the last time these two teams met.
In the Greenville News, the ACC Tournament takes Stitt on a trip down memory lane.
In the Independent-Mail, the Tigers enter the tournament with a positive mindset this year.
In The Post and Courier, the Tigers need Trevor Booker to step up.
Caulton Tudor says you should pull for North Carolina and N.C. State if you give a flip about the spirit of the ACC Tournament.
The coliseum could indeed be quite the ghost town Friday without Tar Heels and Wolfpack fans in attendance.
But how many fans, if their teams advance, will give a flip about the lack of "spirit" in the building?

In football news, Dabo Swinney talks up the idea of a spring football exhibition in the Greenville News and P&C.
Swinney said the biggest advantage is the potential revenue a game would generate, particularly playing a team like Georgia, Tennessee or Florida.
“That's the biggest thing I see,” he said. “Do something in the spring, generate money and give back to the university.
“You think we could generate good money with Georgia coming here?” he said. “The fans would love it and so would the players and coaches.”
Love the idea, but doubt it'll ever happen. Makes too much sense.
That's it for now. On to watch the blurs that are Jacoby Ford and C.J. Spiller.
